Cisco Learning Network EOL October 23, 2024

There are many ways to access Meraki training. While the place most of you know and love will remain (the Meraki Learning Hub right here on Community!), there are some changes coming next month to the Cisco Digital Library, which carries a small number of Meraki courses including ECMS 1 and ECMS 2.

The Cisco Digital Library has been a Cisco learning standard for digital training for years. With the introduction of Cisco U. (the Cisco Learning and Certifications state-of-the-art digital training platform), Cisco Digital Learning experience is shutting down as of October 23, 2024.

By doing this, we at Cisco can give our learning community a more consistent, up-to-date experience in Cisco U. And of course, the Meraki Learning Hub remains unchanged.

If you’ve previously taken a Meraki course on the Cisco Digital Learning experience though, you will want to ensure your courses transfer properly when the migration to Cisco U. happens later next month.

Here’s what you need to do by 5:00 pm Eastern time October 22, 2024:

Learners:

  • Finish the training you have in progress. Completed training will display in your Learner history in Cisco U., but anything in progress will not transfer.
  • Download your transcript and any certifications of completion.
  • Start new training in Cisco U. Log into Cisco U. with the same email address that you have used for Cisco Digital Learning.

Companies & Learning Partners can read steps they should take before the Cisco Digital Library shuts down in the announcement here. There is an FAQ section as well if you have additional questions.

And, as always, the Meraki Learning Hub is still the place to access free, fun, and easy Cisco Networking learning experiences to help anyone build their career on Meraki and cloud-managed Cisco Networking products.

@AmyReyes Hi as I noticed that Cisco partners and vendors often receive free or heavily discounted access to these trainings, but as a large customer investing significantly in Cisco solutions, we don’t seem to have the same access.

I believe that offering complimentary or discounted training to large customers like us would enhance our ability to manage and optimize Cisco products effectively, similar to what is done for vendors.

Could you help us explore options to access these trainings without additional costs?

Kind of a big deal

Reach out to your Cisco account manager and ask them if they can get you some CE credits.  The best time to do this is during a purchase.

I have been telling him for the last few years, but there has been no positive response.

When you are next purchasing, ask him to raise a deal ID to include Cisco Learning Credits at a zero rated value.

Thanks Sir, I will do the same in my next purchase.

Hi @Shubh3738, thank you for reaching out to ask about your options for discounted training! Philip's advice to you is spot on in this case. Your Cisco account manager will be able to assist you with this.

We are using approx. 400 Meraki devices in our organization.

yes, but if cisco manager had done that, I wouldn't be discussing all this!
