Issue with Meraki MX105 License Activation

I hope you're doing well.

I'm reaching out for assistance with an issue. I recently added my Meraki MX105 to the Meraki Dashboard, but I'm encountering a problem with the license activation.

According to the Meraki documentation, the license should be applied by simply entering the device's serial number. However, when I try to do that, I receive the following error:

"Couldn't find license with key "XXXXX"

Could you please help me understand what might be causing this issue and how to proceed?

Thank you in advance!

Best regards,
Gabriel

Hello,
First of all, never share your license key publicly. Second, contact your reseller, only they will have all the license details.

Another detail, notice that there is an exclamation mark (!) at the end of the license code. Try removing the exclamation mark (!).

Hi, thank you for your reply and suggestions.

You're right — I noticed that the license key has an exclamation mark (!) at the end. I tried removing it during the activation attempt, but the error still persists.

Is there any alternative way to validate or activate the license, or should I rely entirely on the reseller to check the license status?

Appreciate any further guidance.

Best regards,
Gabriel

As previously suggested reach out to the partner from whom you procured the device and license from.

With regards claiming the license I’ve never done this by entering just the device serial. You should have been sent a Meraki license claim code.
