Alarm - Downtime Schedule - Email & Webook

Hello Everyone,

Is it possible to define an alert schedule for a specific device or network within your organization?

I have a Webhook integration that automatically generates alarms and creates ServiceNow tickets. However, certain components do not need monitoring overnight, so I’m looking for a way to disable alerts during that time. Is there an option available to set this schedule?

Thank you,
Andrea

Not that I am aware of.

I guess you could write a Python script to call the API and remove the alert configuration at a certain time, and then call it again to put it back at another time.

Thank you philip, I wish it could be a simple scheduler inside meraki to send or not webhook in a certain period, where with tags I could manage different webhooks profiles.

But thank again you for your suggestion .

Hello @AndP_net

We've done this before with LogicMonitor alerts, using a script.  So it depends whether you want to script something yourself?  I could imagine a Python script checking time of day before passing an alert along.

Alternatively, AlertMagic on the Networking App marketplace might be able to help. It intercepts webhooks from Meraki before a ticket is created and applies rule-based logic to determine whether to create or append a ticket.  Common use-cases are to de-duplicate tickets, but I can imagine a rule that checks time-of-day before creating a ticket.

First 100 devices are free anyway so might be worth exploring.  Or as @PhilipDAth suggests, follow the Python route and post-process.

Hi, we can help with this using our 'Business Hours' functionality. We also have a system for managing maintenance windows. The difference with maintenance windows is we won't send an alert if we see something go wrong during the window, but if it's still down when the window closes, we'll cache and send the alert then.
