Related to https://community.meraki.com/t5/Wireless-LAN/MR76-Extending-the-LAN-for-wired-clients-bridge-mode-using/m-p/208808#M28622 Hello All, on my original post above we were trying to use an MR76, but since its unable to use port profile we are now going to use an indoor AP a CW9166 which selectable on the port profile settings. however I have been encountering an issue where it seems the port profile config is not being honored by the AP. Current setup in the CW9166 in the LAB: Test wired devices > IE2000 POE Switch > CW9116 AP >> wireless bridge to the Meraki Mesh >> wired network and network gateways. Issue is, even with the port profile assigned to the AP, the wired clients attached to the CW9116 cant reach the network, cant even ping the wireless clients connected to the same CW9116 AP. but wireless client connected to the SSID on the same CW9116 can reach the network. Connectivity is only available when i set on Dashboard > Network Wide > Clients Wired Directly to AP > "from no access" to "Behave like they are connected to "Turnstile"" which is the same SSID configured on the port profile as seen on the screenshot below. We would like to keep the default behavior of the entire network to DO NOT connect wired connections, but we would want to allow only to the APs we set the port profile. On the related link above it was suggested to spin up a new network and assign 2 AP on the new network and configure network wide behavior which is a possible solution for someone else, since we cant move the AP that would be the gateway for the repeater since that would mean all the possible clients that gateway AP would have been servicing would now be on the new network and all the SSID and authentication configured from the original network wont be available.

Thank you for your response both, is there no way to set this with a limited set of APs? because what is being suggested would mean all our AP, network wide, if we plug a device on any ethernet port on any AP will pass traffic since SSID authentication is not used for clients attached to physical port which would be a security hole. will allowing the SSID be available only to the repeater AP and the nearest mesh AP means that the other AP in the network will not pass traffic to that vlan if something is plugged to the ethernet port?

We are in a need to extend a group of devices connected to a industrial POE Switch located in a shack outside the building and a bit far out that we cant place the AP inside the shack so the AP needs to be weather proof thus the use of an MR76. connectivity description: shack devices > industrial switch with POE powering the AP and some of the devices > MR76 on a pole outside the shack,> wireless connection to meraki mesh APs that is wired connected to the main network, where the controllers for the shack devices are located. Was able to configure the Bridge SSID on the dashboard, but when it came for me to configure the port profile to assign the port on the MR76 to the SSID, the MR76 is not in the list of devices on the device selection to assign the port profile. Does this mean im not able to use the MR76 to bridge the wired clients to the mesh? is it because it only has 1 ethernet port and its meant for lan uplink only? what's my option here?

Was anyone able to make this work? we are looking to use a aironet 1552e to extend a group of devices off a small shack outside the building shack devices > industrial switch with POE > aironet 1552e outdoor ap > wireless connection to meraki mesh APs that is wired connected to the main network where the controllers for the shack devices are located. only need to bridge a single vlan for those shack devices. is there a guide on how to do this? The guide above only seems to tackle the aironet side, but no config settings on the meraki side.
