I can't believe three years later, that this is STILL a problem. I am losing faith in Cisco products related to security. I have the same problem with false positives other Cisco products with AMP and their support is horrid for these features.  ... View more

This has come up quite a bit.  I'm optimistic that Meraki will create a low-end MX device that can support higher bandwidth.  Especially now that such highspeed connections are inexpensive in many areas.    ... View more

Well, I think everybody would agree, that changing the legacy protocol in use, would be "the best thing to do", but it´s not up to me to decide the protocols used and serviced offered by other companys (im a Senior Consultant at a large cisco partner company)... I can advise them, but when the push come to show, its up to the specific customer to choose..     This specific customer is migrating from older, over the counter CPE hardware, that handled the passive ftp inspection... so I was just curious, as to why this protocol inspection was dropped on a next-gen firewall... to my knowledge passive ftp is still used on a very large scale... legacy protocol or not!   Regards Ole ... Thinking sideways - rather than using guest ambassador, have you considered using "Sponsored Guest" instead? https://documentation.meraki.com/MR/Encryption_and_Authentication/Sponsored_Guest   With this approach guest users use the splash page and sign up.  They have to give the email address of someone who works at the company (their sponsor).  That person then gets an email with a link to click on which approves that guest.  No login to the Meraki portal required.   If you want, you could put on a note on the splash page asking users to always put in a specific email address, or if you try a little harder and customise the page, you could probably just hard code an email address to.   Voila, no guest ambassador account required.     Note: You have to open a support ticket and request Meraki support to enable this feature. ...
