Sure Philip, this also would be an option. But actually we are "blind" from the activities on the sponsored guest login. I also tested the login with SMS (unfortunately not an option for us), here I have very useful information available under "Splash Logins", such as e-mail, phone number etc. I hope that such information would be possible for sponsored guest login. And I know that the information is available within Meraki, it would be more to bring them up into the dashboard and make it visible for us.

Hi all I want to take that one up again, I see within this wireless forum that the reporting for the sponsored guest login again and again is a topic, last time a post in December 2023. I get the feeling that this would be a feature many admins are waiting for, to get more information who requested a sponsored guest login, what the guest's e-mail address is, for how long time he gets access and also important who the sponsor is which approved the login. All this is available within the Meraki database, today if there is a specific question about a specific login I have to create a case with Meraki to get this answered. A report will help to reduce these request so that the questions can be answered via this report. So can you please take that one up again, as a feature request, and check if this can be implemented with one of the next dashboard updates? Many thanks Markus

Hi all We have MR45 APs in place in one of our offices, now we need to extend this office with more APs. MR45 APs are end of sales and I want to go with MR44, from the roaming prospective is the MR45 compatible with MR44? Or are there any issues? Of course there exists a table which models best can be "mixed" within one Meraki network? Thank you Markus

It might be more the information on the devices which relates to the configuration as you mentioned (hostname, IP addresses, VLANs, interface descr. etc.), if a device becomes obsolete or gets lost (stolen), how can this type of information be decrypted? Is there only Meraki who knows the key and is this safe?

Greetings I learned that all the data which is at rest on Meraki devices is encrypted with AES-256-XTS. The question from our security department came now up where the key is stored and who has the control of it. In other words, where is the possibility to decrypt this existing data on the on-prem devices if this goes offline or will be disposed? Is the key to decrypt this data under Meraki's control and where is it stored? Thanks a lot Markus

Greetings, I am wondering if since this answer has been published two years ago, there was a change implemented which enables alerting to webhooks (similar config to what we can do on network level) for organizational tasks? We face the same question from our security department, how we can log and get alerted when a new admin is created. This might be a security risk. Should I bring up this one as a wish too? Hi Philip Thank you for your answer. If this is the solution, then definitively not an easy one. Instead of using a non-Meraki VPN peer, I guess I have to think if an installation of an MX appliance in parallel to the SD-WAN routers so that I could use the Auto-VPN, this would solve this issue. At least for all devices within the same dashboard, for the one which resides in China and goes to the Chinese dashboard. Thank you Markus

Hi all We have a site with two Meraki MX appliances, with two redundant Internet links. Therefore we have two public IP addresses on each MX, one from each provider (gives a total of 4 public IP addresses in this site). Within the other site, we have the same setup, but the two Internet links terminates on Cisco SD-WAN routers. Also here, total 4 public IP addresses. How can I configure now the non-Meraki VPNs so that I can guarantee the redundancy, should one provider or or one Cisco SD-WAN router fail? Do I have to setup four different non-Meraki VPN peers on the MX side? All with the same destination subnet, which can be 10.0.0.0/8 for example? Is this clear for the MX that all these four VPNs are for the same traffic, but only one should be chosen. In fact, I should have four peer IPs within one VPN rule on the MX. Is this possible?
