Whether you need a new SSID or nor depends on how your Eduroam service is setup. I know here all the participating education institutions have a separate SSID called EDUROAM, specifically for this service.   As @ww stated, under Network Access for the Eduroam SSID, select ‘Enterprise with’ option and then ‘my RADIUS server’.
