The OIDS I listed are common ones to SNMP devices of all types.  Usually when I want to know information available from SNMP I will do a MIB walk and display all of the SNMP values for the device and then comb through them for anything that interests me.  Sometimes I'll google the OID to see what it is.  For uptime the MR and MS devices support.  The standard OID for uptime is 1.3.6.1.2.1.1.3.0.  But the MX devices do not respond with a value when polled for an SNMP response.   ... Did you try reversing the polarity of one of your patch cables?  Just in case your TX/RX Transmit/Receive were physically in the wrong position.  Sometime a fiber cleaning pen will help in case the end of a patch cable has some dirt that needs to be polished away.  Interface settings on the Meraki would be next guess. ... It has been a while since I last did a MIBwalk of an MX67, but the following OIDs appear to show the up/down status on each of the 5 ports for the MX.  1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.8.1 to 1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.8.5 where a value of 1 = UP, and 2 = DOWN.  There do not appear to be any counters for time in an MX that I have found, sadly.  Uptime counters exist in Meraki switches, just not in MX's or AP's.  For a dual connected device if you were watching these values, you would see if the adjacent device was disconnected.  But this may not tell you there is an upstream issue causing data not to transmit.  But there are similar OIDs that show traffic is passing on the interfaces, if you see a counter is no longer incrementing that would likely be your best option for monitoring issues.  This is provided you don't mind using SNMP and getting into the weeds a little bit.  To play with SNMP use SNMPview 2.5 and/or Paessler SNMP Tester software.  Both are easy to setup. ... If you want to see uptime on Meraki devices use SNMP.  OID's are: 1.3.6.1.2.1.1.1.0 - System Name 1.3.6.1.2.1.1.5.0 - Host Name 1.3.6.1.2.1.1.3.0 - Uptime   Configure SNMP v2c in the Meraki dashboard. Build your own SNMP dash board with SNMP View 2.5 or similar to poll the SNMP information from the devices.   This will show uptime for Meraki switches, but will not show uptime for Meraki MX's - I know, Right?!     ... ShoreTel Phones of the IP480, IP485 models by default have power settings that go into a low power sleep mode at roughly 20:00 hours and they awake at 07:00 hours.  When they awake they usually drop the port they are connected to.  I have seen this in SYSLOG on Legacy Cisco switches, and it likely will do the same to Meraki switches also.  Teaching the phones the following setting stops this:     [power] sleepEthernetLowPower=off     ...
