Sorry to revive this thread, but I'm wondering if anyone was able to successfully deploy this through jamf? I have it working with our Windows device (through Intune) currently.

We have upgraded multiple sites to 29.5.1 with no issues. We made sure client load balancing was disabled as well. This fixed a number of disconnect issues and guest registration through ISE.

It would depend on your back end setup, and how the Chrombooks are managed. I assume if managed you can push down WiFi profiles/config to them? If so you could push down a WiFi profile with WPA key. Radius could be achieved via a service account or certificates. I believe you can also use Meraki and Google auth - https://documentation.meraki.com/MR/Encryption_and_Authentication/Configuring_WPA2-Enterprise_with_Google_Auth

Same behaviour observed with Mac devices for us. Upgraded 15 MR53s last night from MR 26.8.1 → MR 27.5.1 Woke up to no Apple devices working at all. Both Macbooks and iPhones. Rollback to 26.8.1 fixed the issue for us. Could this be related to Apple's latest changes on mac address randomization? https://documentation.meraki.com/General_Administration/Cross-Platform_Content/Meraki_and_iOS_14_MAC_Address_Randomization

OK, so looks like changing 802.11r to Adaptive has fixed it. We didnt have any issues with it set to enabled with Gateway APs, only on mesh repeater APs. The main reason we had it set to enabled rather than Adaptive was because Adaptive is only supported on iPhone 6s and above (https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT202628), we have several iPhone 6 devices in our environment, which can now no longer make use of this roaming feature. But at least they are now able to connect. Not sure if this is a side effect of 802.11r enabled mode or a bug with Meraki.
