Count me in designing stuff! I also would go for the 8 Port 10Gig POE Design, but featured with an implemented MX. Something like the MX68 with 8 POE Ports 10 Gig and 2 SFP+ Uplinks. This beast would be ideal for branch offices in need of a few Wifi6 APs. So no extra switch would be needed. Of course it is 1RU and would be called the MX70-8P.

Hi Santo, works fine, I have a MX64 followed by a MS220-8P and two MR32 working at home. Satisfies my needs 100% and I can even offer a guest WLAN for my friends. They love it!

Hi Sawka, it´s the normal behaviour of mobile phones to save battery. It is also often discussed on several apple forums. You could try to plug the mobile in and see if it stays connected.

Hi, you can configure the Guest SSID using Network access open and then select a splash page below. If you have colleagues that will assign the vouchers to your guest you can use Sign on with Meraki Authentication. Chose wether you have a dedicated guest VLAN (Bridge mode with VLAN assignment) or use the Meraki NAT mode. Then I would recommend to apply different administrators (organization --> administrators) and set them as Guest Ambassador. These special admins can login to your dashboard and handle the guest users and present them vouchers and login data. Did you try to factory reset it? Had this with Mesh to, that they keep a not working config and factory reset solved it most times. https://documentation.meraki.com/MR/Installation_Guides/MR84_Installation_Guide#Factory_reset_button

Hi all, my name is Nils and I work for a Cisco Partner called "ACP IT Solutions" in Cologne, Germany. Since we are slowly transforming different networks to the cloud stuff, I have done a lot with Meraki in the past covering the whole portfolio. Majorly I try to focus on Wireless LAN. Fun fact about myself: I am a volunteer paramedic and own a private pilot license to fly around europe for fun.

Will send Case number to you via private message. It is still running in this state today. In the critical places, however we changed MR33 to 42 with no problems and to be 100% safe.

Thanks for the quick response! So if I understand right: Implement allowed Rules on MX Firewall for VLAN. Source: Provider IPs and Ports. Destination Voice VLAN? Set Deny Any to Destination Voice VLAN at the end to block the rest. Correct like this???

Hi all, we created a SSID for Voice WLAN handhelds which is tagged as VLAN 20. VLAN 20 has a /24 192.168.20.0 IP range which is created on a MX100. The MX100 serves this VLAN with DHCP as well. APs are MR42 with MS225 Switches in between. SSID has PSK WPA2. No we need to close this VLAN/WLAN down completely and just allow specific IPs/Ports to connect to the cloud based telephone system of the provider. We got a sheet from the provider what to open and allow on the firewall. Where to configure these rules and how? I find Firewall Config on the MX/Security Tab as well as on the WLAN/SSID Firewall Tab. What would be the best approach to close a SSID/VLAN down and just open for specific ports? Seems to be something with the data rate shifting. Everytime the AP and the Scangun negotiate a new Mbps Speed the Signal crashes. Meraki Support set it to 1 and 2 Mbps fixed and it is improved quality.

Hi all, we have deployed MR33 in a testing environment. Using a WPA2 PSK SSID we are using PSION Workabout PRO G2, 3 and 4. The Scanners get a correct IP and now try to connect to the working system. For testing purposes we pinged the booking system first with very poor performance (1 out of 10). Also the scanners do not connect correctly to the booking systems and the guys cannot work. We set the Bitrate to 11 Mbps and the scanners are directly within 6 feet line of sight to the testing APs. 802.11r and w are disabled. SSID is in Bridge mode. With a Notebook everything works fine. On the wireless cloud capture we see the ping request going to the booking system. But no response seems to go back over the wireless interface. On the wired interface of the AP we see the reply coming back correctly. Anybody here having issues with scanning devices as well? Best regards!
