Solved it myself. Nexthop is the CE. We just didnt have internet access for that IP so it couldnt access the Meraki VPN registry. Once we gave it internet access we were all good.

We're doing what you've described here. An MPLS connection with a /30. Trying to use Auto VPN over this and a public internet connection. The ISP is trying to use our LAN address as the next hop but when they do this it breaks our routes to the concentrator at our core. In this instant, what should the ISP user as the next hop on the MPLS?

We run MX400's as our concentrators, we recently (we think recently anyway) lost a power supply in one of them. That's no problem, that's why we have 2 power supplies, and HA 400's. The problem is that we got ZERO notification that this had happened. No Emails, No Dashboard alerts. The only reason we knew is because one of our staff went to our data center (visited maybe 1-2 per month) and noticed the MX400 was beeping. This is a pretty serious concern for us, luckily we have the redundancy built into our network design, but how can you have such a large device without any notifications as to the status of its power supplies. Before anyone says it. The MX250, yes has power supply status, the MX400's however don't seem to. An email at least would be nice....

I don't usually weigh in on these things, but the same thing happened to me this week at 8am on a Saturday morning. We are a customer facing business (wholesale) and our stores couldn't trade for 30 minutes because a single MX device was unlicensed. We have a network of over 500 devices... I'm not as livid, as my account team was on the ball and were absolute guns, we were back online pretty quick. But I would agree that both the communication isn't always clear, and the disabling of our entire organisation is absurd.

Hey Gallon, We figured out a fix for this. Under Wireless > Access control about halfway down the page there is a drop down for "Walled garden" when you have a splash page enabled. You should set this to "Walled garden is enabled" and put the "*.apple.com" domain in the "Walled garden ranges" section. Then all is right in the world!

Hi All, We have an issue that has been raised by some of our branches re our guest WiFi which uses the SMS authentication. Users are prompted to enter the authorization code that had been SMS'ed to them, but when they leave the splash page and go to the messages app to retrieve the code the screen to enter the code is gone and they need to request a new code, so they enter a loop. This has been reported and tested on iPhone, i haven't done any testing on Android. The only "work around" we have at the moment is to do the drag down to preview the message, this isn't however ideal for all users. Any thoughts? Cheers

Just something on this, we have about 180 Sierra Wireless AirCard 320U working fine with MX64's. You just need to make sure you have the firmware up to date, and turn off the autologon feature using the watcher on a PC.

Ethernet cellular is great yes, but when you already have an investment in 180+ USB based devices it doesn't exactly stack up. 180 sites x around $300 for a decent Ethernet 4G device = $54,000... 😞
