@MRCUR  @Welles updated (I hesitate to ever call these "upgrades") to MR 25.5 this morning on Nine MR42s. So far so good, knock on wood. All tagged SSIDs are broadcasting and the new AP Steering/Client Balancing seems to be working great so far.  ... View more

@Welles good to know. We're using tags here, but thankfully our first SSID is our least important. Updating to 25.5 tomorrow morning, I'll keep you both posted, and thanks again!  ... View more

Re: Enable 40 Mhz channels for 2.4 Ghz band

Hey @qin I'd highly suggest against for 2 reasons- Device support for 40mhz 2.4 channels is sparse and often unsupported. If at all possible 5ghz is a much better bet. 40mhz channels on 2.4 chew up so much available airtime/spectrum/bandwidth that it's not a very "good neighbor" thing to do. At one of our locations a company on the floor above us in the same building is using 40mhz 2.4 channels at very high power which makes the entire 2.4 band almost impossible for us to use. Not a good way to make friends with the neighbors. If you could clarify your use case (and client devices) here I'm sure the community can point you in the right direction.  ... View more

Most stable/best firmware version?

Now that we (finally) have customer-facing firmware versions and a self-serve upgrade/downgrade option, what have you found to be the most stable firmware version? We're mostly on MR42s here. We're on MR 24.8 in prod and 25.5 in a test environment- 25.5 seems to be much better but it's also a much smaller and less trafficked network.  ... View more

So special characters aren't required, but if you use them, you can only use 4 special characters out of the entire keyspace "@" "-" "_" and ".". Isn't this very odd? Makes it very difficult to use a password manager and generate a really "good" password.  ... View more
