This was super helpful, once I figured out the right place for the setting.  I had the same issues described above and did tons of troubleshooting till I found this.  So to be clear, I already had bonjour forwarding enabled on the firewall settings for the network, but this setting is in the Wireless > Access Control settings on version 17.2.  As soon as I enabled it there, boom, worked. ...
