I’ve been experiencing this issue across multiple sites for the past few months, and Meraki support suggested it was due to faulty cabling. Yesterday I started to believe them: I installed a brand-new MR44 with a brand-new patch cable (straight out of the packet), and immediately got an “Ethernet Speed Degraded” warning. I swapped it for a different cable and it came up right away. To test further, I tried another cable of the first type and it failed again. Comparing the two cables (both Cat 5e), the one that doesn’t work is noticeably thinner than the one that does. I’m guessing this means there’s less shielding. I’ll keep testing, but it does seem like the thinner, cheaper cables might be the problem.
