I'm hopeful for 27.6 as well   I'll be using it at a brand new site that auto-loaded 27.5.1   If anyone remembers, even stable versions of code got pushed out that were horrible, like 25.14 if anyone remembers, and it took a good amount of complaining for Meraki to revoke it. 6E products access points won't be out for probably another 6 to 12 months at least (from any vendor), for actual sale (I know there are some beta tests going on currently though). And even then those will be the bleeding edge first gen units, and do you really want to be the guy that takes the beach?  Anyone here not remember the MR45/55 debacle?   Clients I believe I've seen some Intel chips that are currently being beta tested, but those are probably also another 12 months out. Then the drivers, good lord I can only imagine how many issues and bugs they'll have.   Realistically, your looking at least another 24 months before there are a healthy choice of access points and clients that support 6GHz.  If your desperate I'm sure you can get your hands on stuff in the next 12 months, but I'm not in any rush to discover the plethora of issues that will come with it. No real feedback to provide but I will only mention that if your using 3rd party equipment, your essentially 'on your own' with regard to support. Well since your having the issue on the wired side, its not wireless.   At this point you need to validate where in your path your issue is occurring.   What your telling us is that it happens at the AP level (wifi) and it also happens if you are hardwired to the switch. What about if you connect directly to the MX?   Are you able to bypass the MX and take Meraki out of the equation? It might just be an ISP issue.   ... View more

I would recommend making the SSID 5GHz only, and if you require 2.4GHz, then leave it as is and make another SSID that is 5GHz only and test.   Can you clarify 'wired + sessions are dropping'. I thought hardwire you did not have issues.   Do you mean your hardwired to the MS220 with an Ethernet cable and your still getting drops?  If so then I would ignore wireless being the issue at this point and look to the MX or ISP.     ... How are you able to confirm that the 'AP' itself is losing connection?   If that is true then its an issue between the AP, to its power source (assuming this is the MS220 yes?). You'll want to confirm there isn't an issue with the connection between the MR33 and the MS220 (layer 1 issue?).   Otherwise, its sounding like wireless interference might be going on. Easy thing to do right now is eliminate wireless as root cause.   Hardwire, play your game and see how it handles around the corners.   If it does not have any issues, then take a look at the wireless. Are you using 5GHz only SSID? or is your laptop connecting to 2.4GHz and every time someone runs the microwave your game tanks etc. ... View more

@colby_oc  - I hesitate to make any recommendations, but I know MR42 are solid. I've had a few bumps with MR52's rebooting like Christmas tree lights in the past for unknown reasons (25.x train).   I believe the MR36/46/56 have been relatively solid based on forums feedback (certainly better than the 45/55 models). But its Wi-Fi 6, and that's new tech and going to have bugs, as you have clearly seen from their GEN-1 series.  If your not really gaining anything from Wi-Fi 6 yet (and you most likely aren't) then it might be safer to fall-back to tried and true Wi-Fi 5 models.    I prefer stability over new tech. ... If I'm being honest, I am like 83% certain that the entire line up of the GEN-1 Wi-Fi 6 access points should be removed from production and replaced with the 2nd gen, at Meraki's cost (MR45/55).  I've never seen anyone with a successful deployment of those things. In my example it is using the keyword 'API' which must exist within the AP name for it to 'catch' it.  You can change that to something else if you want. What I use is 'CRON' and i placed at the end of all my AP's for my small sites, '-CRON' for them to reboot. Been working great for me for a while now.   You can do this on a per-network basis too, so I have other sites that have AP's that start with say 'PHX' for the site code, so any AP name that has PHX will reboot for example, and if I don't want them to, I change the name to PH~X etc., to break it for that AP. ... Just tested and blocking port 80 and 443 to the IP of the MX HUB has indeed worked, under the site-to-site VPN firewall rules. I can ping it, everything still works from the spoke, I just can't access the MX local status page anymore.  Hurray !   Just wish the setting under General would have worked like it was supposed to, so I didn't have to figure this out lol.  ... @WillN  Because the MX is in 'Passthrough or VPN Concentrator', under Firewall settings there are no options for 'Security Appliance Services', like you would normally see when its in 'Routed' mode.   See this image of my settings:     @BrechtSchamp - I must be missing something lol. I don't see why it would be expected behavior though. I agree I should be able to reach the IP, my point however is that I'm still able to access the local status page even though I have it disabled.  If I do this on a SPOKE site, with direct access to the MX, disabling the local status page works fine. HTTP/HTTPS won't load.   My understanding is that if this setting is set to disabled, as mine is, then my source IP is irrelevant, nobody should be able to access it.   ... View more
