I'm disappointed that this has not yet been addressed. We are trying to switch from dumb old Black Box media converters that have been working for 15 years to SFP modules for our fiber links. The old converters literally have no diagnostics or way to connect for trouble shooting. Now we're inserting SFP modules in a Meraki switch at one end and Cisco at the other to replace the old converters. The transceivers will not link and the manufacturer is asking us for the light levels. Surprise! there doesn't seem to be a way to get them for either switch (both on Meraki Dashboard). It shows the model number and serial number of the module, but no diagnostics. The manufacturer says the module provides full diagnostics to the switch. C'mon Cisco. I expected more in our recent migration from Aruba to Cisco. They are supposed to be the big dog in this space.
