October has come and gone, November is also done My license will expire before I can use my MX, Meraki should offer license extensions for anyone using an MX that paid for a license but can't use the device as public-facing on WAN.

the MX84 is a practically identical Router and its Silent. Not sure what Defect they feel the fan needs to be Full speed all the time. Must be some part defect and instead of recall they just jack the fans up in firmware. your correct why should we have to fix our selves when Meraki should address the issue. meanwhile, My router sits on a shelf and I use Alternate device

I looked over the device and decided I did not want to even open it up. Did not come apart like a typical switch I believe its glued or has one way tabs. yes it would void the warranty. Still not using the device when IPV6 is working I will deal with the noise then.

This Reply was 2 Years ago and no closer to IPV6, Many of us still use Meraki Networks but have Alternate Options for Routers. My Entier Network is Meraki but I put MX on the shelf and using another Vender for Router. WE Hope this year we can go Pure Meraki Some of us are even willing to take whatever Beta is out there.

I am currently no longer using the MX100 due to the Noise issues. Hoping some solution comes across soon, maybe this fix is tabled in with IPV6 which is decades behind.

I had a Old Dell Switch that sounded like a Hovercraft, if you disconnect the Fans you get Alerts so what I did was order replacement Fans took out the 15,000 RPM fans and put in 3500 RPM Fans. Silent and did not overheat due to it being in a public Area with AC. This will void warranty but thought I would mention due to I am in Same boat as you guys and considering this for the MX100.

I would like to ask others about the RTSP I find mine to be very unreliable, and have to reboot / reconnect cameras very often. I have 3 MV's and seems always one of them is out to lunch. on the Meraki Dashboard they are fine its just RTSP.

Beta 4.4 is out and I can reboot my Cameras again. and the RTSP stream kicks back in After a reboot.

Has anyone noticed to tried to in the dashboard Reboot your Camera that is on Firmware 14.3 Mine says "Malformed Request" and will not reboot? Also if the Stream gets tripped up like using "blueIris" or something it will get stuck on 2 max streams and fail and you have to reboot to clear that stale stream. which I found out you can't reboot remotely. Just thought I would share.

I had to put the Meraki in Pass through mode, and using PFSense on my front end for Router, there I configure VPN. Open VPN etc. Then use Ipsec as forwards to the Meraki so its still in play. I have brand new MX100 sitting on rack waiting for iPV6 Options till then pfsense is boss.

you just need a routing table that points back to the Meraki so that traffic knows where to go. I can confirm while on the client VPN i can ping the vMX in Azure. I have Routing table that points any subnet I want to be able to reach azure resources pointing back to the MX Hope that helps.

Opened ticket via dashboard they enabled about hour later. Currently testing with Legacy devices.. What brought me down this path was support for Wyze Cameras, I was having lots of channel utilization at 90% needed a way to be sure nothing is on the 2.4 except 2.4 devices. Thanks to you guys for this Post which I learned this feature existed.

In my experience with wifi calling issue its always the Router. The AP just passes Traffic Even in NAT mode.

There are 2 Squirrels running down a pipe, they get in each others way, slowing each other down one tries to steal the other ones food its just Chaos. Now if we tag each Squirrel with a Vlan, they are both still in the same pipe, but they can't see each other they don't get in each others way and they cannot hop in to each others path. The end up where they are supposed to go with out ever interacting with each other. The only way for them too cross paths is if I allow it in the Tree branch Router . Does that Help you under stand vlans LOL.

I have had this problem very Recently, where Wifi calling would be un predictable. WiFi Calling sets up a type of VPN connection back to the provider. so Content Filtering or any type of Firewall Rule that would block ipsec or anything blocking or Filtering port 500, 4500, 5061 will break wifi calling. (For example with PFSense you have to Enable PF scrubbing). I have SSID with Internal NAT and my Wifi Calling is working. Issue was my Router. Is your Router a MX or another Device?

It is not difficult, you should have already created a GatewaySubnet from your main Vnet, then you add that to your Virtual Network Gateway Create a Local network Gateway with the public IP of your MX. then you ADD Connection and put in same shared secret on both sides. the settings on the MX are just the Public IP IP of your VirtualNetworkGateway and the shared Secret all other settings are hidden. I have 2 connections to Azure, one is IKE_v2 with Azure route based Gateway and it has the same Drops as you describe above. I have another connection to azure using the vMX and the Logs show connectivity: true connectivity false quite often 8-10 times a day. What is your frequency of those Established and Deleting and do you lose connection and have to do something to reestablish manually?

In your Dashboard if you click on switch, Monitor, DHCP servers & ARP scroll down if you have Dynamic ARP Inspection BETA you can see blocked Events and Whitelist them, and or Trust the Ports that the Mystery blockage is taking place on. so if the suspect PC is not connecting to the network correctly, on the PORT that pc is on mark it as "Trusted" see if the end point comes to life again. My firmware for switch MS250 is MS 10.45
