I'm just starting to learn Python, so I apologize if I'm not much help here.   That being said:   Error 400 = Bad Request- You did something wrong, e.g. a malformed request or missing parameter.   Just in case, I would change your POST command from n57 to just API, in case your shard in not accurate. What port on the MX is your MS plugged into? What port on the MS is your MX plugged into? That is how I understand it, but then again I've never set it up as I hate splash pages lol. If you want the simplest solution, just leave it open and no splash page, thus no friction. Never had to do this so I could be wrong, but the simple (relative) part of redirecting is known a EXCAP   The trick here is the VPN part making this difficult. I would imagine your going to have to allow local users to access this ucopia site, so you'll need to allow that IP through the VPN (which I'm assuming is an internal IP). You have VLANs set to disabled but your trunk port is configured for VLAN 1. I would enable VLANs and just use VLAN 1 configured on the trunk ports. When you enable the VLANs on the MX it also gives you the ability to configure the LAN ports on the MX itself, thus giving you the ability to set a specific port to either trunk or access and what VLAN you want. ... That link your provided is not showing a direct connection between the MX appliances. What it is doing, is being lazy and not showing you the switches. It is just summarizing it and saying 'LAN Connection'. Basically meaning through the switches. VRRP is sent out all VLANs, so if you have a warm-spare setup, and both of them are connected to the same switch/switches (which they should be), and you have proper VLANs configured on the uplinks between MX to MS, then they will 'see' each other. Not sure if a specific firmware causes it to go south, and it DID work, and probably still does. The issue is that there have been cases/situations where it CAN cause problems, and ones that are tough to diagnose at that. I doubt its the router. The error message is L2 related. Since you have the switch port configured as a trunk with native vlan 1 configured, the AP configuration should be set to no vlan tag configured, otherwise you'll end up with a double tag issue (error message). So since you have the native vlan on the switch, you don't need to put a VLAN on the AP side. ... View more

If you have DHCP reservation for that access point, then you should choose the DHCP mode. Just leave the VLAN portion blank. If you are configuring it with a static on the AP itself (and not using DHCP) then still leave the VLAN portion blank. You might have to bounce the port for this to resolve. ... View more
