RF profile creation failures using API

Hi Team,

Could someone share if there are any changes with respect to RF profile creation payload?

I was using the similar payload mentioned in the link below it was working now it's giving internal server Error 500.

https://developer.cisco.com/meraki/api-v1/create-network-wireless-rf-profile/

Thanks,

Siya

I suggest you make sure your payload matches the latest schema provided in the API documentation and double-check for missing or incorrect parameters in the payload.

I am not a Cisco Meraki employee. My suggestions are based on documentation of Meraki best practices and day-to-day experience.

Please, if this post was useful, leave your kudos and mark it as solved.

Hello @siya,

I'm more than happy to help!

Are these errors consistent or sporadic?

Is there a specific parameter that you feel is responsible for the 500 error? Have you tried to POST a small to benign change, like increasing or decreasing the transmit power by 1?

I believe that I've found a workaround to this issue. Please try the following steps:

1. Enable band steering on all SSIDs with both 2.4 and 5GHz enabled

2. Run an API that has had constant failure to see if we get a 200 code

3. Disable band steering where is was enabled in step 1

4. Test again that same API
