Production wireless client DHCP issues on Meraki

Hello everyone, I am already working TAC on this issue, but wanted to share to see if anyone has experienced this or maybe help out someone once its all resolved.

Issue:

We have a client called "eguage" that connects to production equipment to track and measure stats.  It has the ability to connect to an enterprise WIFI via wpa 2 PSK.  We have been having issues with this client connecting/getting DHCP address.  It appears that it does not go through the DHCP handshakes.

As a test we setup a traditional Cisco WLC and AP on the exact same network, same PSK, and variant of the SSID.  Connects and goes through DHCP no problem.

After working with TAC, AP pcaps show the client briefly connecting to Meraki SSID, and doing unicast DHCP discover.  It appears that the Meraki AP is not forwarding it to the Meraki switch.

Anyone else come across this before?  I will continue to update the post as the TAC ticket progresses.

Kind of a big deal

Could you please share your complete SSID configuration?

Do you have any features like 802.11r enabled?

I am not a Cisco Meraki employee. My suggestions are based on documentation of Meraki best practices and day-to-day experience.

Please, if this post was useful, leave your kudos and mark it as solved.

What is the MR model?

Is the SSID using bridge mode?

Are you running current stable or better firmware?
