Whats the performance difference between MR36 and MR28 - specs look very similar except for 1.7Gbps on 36 and 1.5Gbps on MR28
Ok I found out
MR28 has no dedicated security radio so does opportunistic WIDS/WIPS scanning when data radios are not busy
Throughput of 1.5G rather than 1.7 which is not a big deal
So, looks like good entry level AP
Thanks Richard - you found the golden ticket. That is correct, the MR28 does not have the dedicated WIDS/WIPS scanning radio that is part of the MR36. And yes, the MR28 is targeted for entry level deployments.
