Order of Processing Settings/Rules

Hi I just wanted to confirm my understanding on few points regarding setting up the settings and rules for wireless devices. Any advices are appreciated:

1. MR and MX processing rules
Based on this link, MR and MX has their own ways of dealing with Layer 3 and Layer 7. What would happen if I connect a MR to an upstream MX ( Endpoint --> MR --> MX), will it process the rules on MR then MX accordingly?

2. Wireless Group Policies
Now adding a group policies to endpoint devices, with the same topology (Endpoint with GP --> MR --> MX), if I enabled custom rules, instead of using network default, will it bypass existing firewalls rules on both MR and MX ?
