Meraki Dashboard - Disable Ethernet uplink speed degraded alarm

My network has many copper connections that inevitably will train up at lower than the 1Gbps that the Meraki dashboard looks for to send this alarm. Is there any way to turn off alerts for this alarm? I mostly want to turn off the alert status in the access points list view, so techs do not need to sift through these alarms. Bonus points if it can be done for specific sites, or if the threshold can be changed so it throws alarms at lower speeds instead.

Thanks!

If you are referring to alerts indicating your APs have a degraded speed/duplex negotiation, this is part of the Root Cause Analysis (RCA) - Alert Based Workflows.

The Root Cause Analysis (RCA) workflows are a new framework that has been deployed to your organizations.  This new framework assists in the remediation of alerts that arise in the Dashboard.  RCAs from the various products are being designed and deployed regularly as alerts are identified that have a value added workflow that are used to more efficiently guide the network admin closer to a resolution.

I am not familiar with a way to turn off these alerts other than to acknowledge the alerts themselves (which doesn't turn off this built in feature - it only acknowledges you have been made aware of the alert) but you might submit a support ticket to inquire.  The alert is bring attention of a bottleneck, preventing the AP from fully utilizing its high-speed wireless capabilities and ultimately degrading overall network efficiency and user experience.

Actually - there might be a way to disable it after all.....go to

Organization > Alerts

OrganizationAlerts1.png

Select Configure alerts in the RH corner.

OrganizationAlerts2.png

Search for Ethernet uplink speed degraded

Uncheck Enable alerts

Be sure to hit Save.  This doesn't get the BONUS points you were wanting based on specific sites or areas unfortunately.

Well that seems new, we've had a few posts about these alerts since they added them and this hasn't come up! 👏

I think I glanced at them when they first came out...and haven't sense.  Too many items for my brain to wrap it around vs the # of alerts possible to configure). 😅

The alert will still show up in the alert hub but you won't receive webhooks or emails. Not sure if that is what the OP is looking for

@RaphaelL did I understand you correctly?  The alert will still show up even after being disabled? 🤔

I sympathize and would also love to be able to turn these off when it's known and not going to be changed.
