MR78 Wifi 6 WIDS/WIPS

Hi, please can anyone confirm that MR78 wifi 6 AP has WIDS/WIPS intrusion prevention? On this link (https://meraki.cisco.com/product-collateral/meraki-wireless-cloud-family-datasheet-managed-wireless-... ) it indicates NO (pag 13). And on the datasheet (https://documentation.meraki.com/MR/MR_Overview_and_Specifications/MR78_Datasheet) it indicates YES

Thanks in advance,

It's called Air Marshal  on Meraki:

I am not a Cisco Meraki employee. My suggestions are based on documentation of Meraki best practices and day-to-day experience.

Please, if this post was useful, leave your kudos and mark it as solved.

The documentation is a bit confusing here. The MR28 & MR78 only have 2 radios and not a dedicated 3rd radio like all other AP models. So, Air Marshal (WIDS/WIPS) works differently. More on this can be found HERE.

I've also let Marketing know about the discrepancy so we can get the MR family datasheet fixed (matching the MR28 & 78 datasheets).

The WIDS/IPS is only done on that model when the AP has nothing else to do.

Most of the other APs have a dedicated security radio and that security radio is constantly scanning for threats.
