Noticed one of our MR46 AP's the other day in repeater mode - just assumed it was dodgy cabling. however I walked past that particular AP and noticed it was making a high pitched whine noise. I gave it a couple of taps and it went away. Would it likely be faulty? or has anyone noticed this behaviour?
I’ve seen this discussed on Reddit as well, the theory being they are faulty. It seems like tapping/pushing/prying on the mount can make the whine appear or go away, and when it whines it’s in repeater mode.
