MR42E Aiming antenna's

Hello,

We have a number of MR42E units with bendable antenna's.

Is there a best practice as to how these should be aimed(pointed)?

These units are all mounted on ceilings facing down.

If you are using dipole antennas (the round ones) they usually need to be pointed vertically.

If your AP is ceiling mounted then just point all of them straight down.
If you have a wall mounted AP then you can have some pointing up and others down.

This has to do with the polarity of the signal.  Your device usually has it's antennas pointed so the signals polarity more closely matches the polarity out of dipole antennas pointing up or downwards.

Also make sure there are no metal obstacles like wiremeshing or a big clunky metal box between your AP and your users.
