MR32 update to MR33 - worth it?

Hey all,

Is this upgrade worth it? What are the changes between the MR32 and the MR33?

Hi

As you know MR32 is EOS product. The nearest version is MR33. There are a few minor differences between them which I am aware of

Like MR33 is Wave 2, 802.3af, small size etc.

MR32 is a good product. However for any new entry level purchase obvious choice shall be MR33.

Kind of a big deal

As far as I am aware the MR33 only adds bluetooth support.

So if you already owned an MR32 and don't use bloothtooth beacons and the like and don't have any plans to use such technology you wont see any benefits.

The next best upgrade would probably be an MR45.

Thanks for the replies, guys. I was wondering this as more of an update/refresh of our AP's as opposed to a true upgrade.

I was hoping for more of an apples to apples comparison between the two products and what was superceded/edited/changed in the MR33 from the MR32.

This is from Meraki support.

Some changes are support for:

Up to 256 QAM on both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands
Power consumption: 11W max (802.3af)
WMM Access Categories with DSCP and 802.1p support
