Is it a good time to upgrade WPA2 to WPA3?

So for a long time already I'm considering to change the authentication from WPA2 to WPA3.

But, I keep reading here and there, that user's are having more issues with it, or are affected by this change to the worse.

Any reasons why it's recommended to stay with WPA2 and not move to WPA3?

I thought about changing only our Guests SSID to be WPA3 and see if anyone is affected by the change.

We have two SSID, one primary for the users and office, and the other for Guests (isolated).

Your thoughts?

Thank you

WPA3 has poor device compatibility when it comes to IoT devices.  Many just don't work at all.

If you have a well defined environment (such as all computers are the same band and model) you should be able to get away with it.  Guest WiFi probably wont work well.  Many phones wont be able to connect.

The only way I have been able to get WPA3 to work is to create a new seperate SSID for it.

@PhilipDAth is spot on.

If you have only known standardized devices across the business that support WPA3, you'll probably be fine.

But as soon as you have non standardized devices such as guest devices, IOT devices, or if different areas of your business buy devices without IT consultation, you'll likely have issues.
