HP Printer Dropped Off Default VLAN

Hi all,

I recently had to relocate my HP printer and when I reconnected it back, I noticed it no longer shows on the default VLAN 1. That field is just blank now. It seems that the print jobs get stuck in the queue also. Any ideas?

Is everything plugged into the same places as it was before?

The only thing that has changed is that I added an MS120-8LP switch.

The printer is connected to the MR33 which is now connected to the MS120-8LP.

It was previously connected to the MX68.

I was wondering if I needed to reinstall the printer and rejoin it to the network.

So I think this is where I went wrong.

I configured the switchport for the MR33 to be VLAN 2, but I forgot I had set a static IP address for the printer when it was on the MX68 on the default VLAN.

So I reset the printer's wireless settings back to default and reconnected it to the MR33.

Here's the message I'm getting:

"Print communication problems detected. You may experience limited functionality when printing to your printer from your PC.

If you are using firewall software, verify TCP port 9100 is unblocked from your PC to your printer at 192.168.x.xx.

To fix the issue(s) try to power your printer off and on.

Any help anyone?
