Forced Upgrade on MR46s WAPs firmware to 29.5.1 intermittent down

After a forced firmware upgrade. I am seeing intermittent WAPs going down seems to be about every 2 hours. All sites having the issue have a public routable IP address. the other half on a private 10.0.0.0 network are not having this issue. Last time this occurred we had to revert back to firmware model 27.1.
model MR 46

Firmware 29.5.1

this version is considered "stable"

I found this

Have you tried version 28.7.1 or 29.4.1? Otherwise open a support case.

I am not a Cisco Meraki employee. My suggestions are based on documentation of Meraki best practices and day-to-day experience.

Correct, but that bug should be fixed in MR29.2.

Do you have an upstream firewall, which may be blocking ports to Meraki Cloud? You can see the required openings by clicking on Help -> Firewall Info.

Otherwise you should submit a ticket to Meraki Support, as @alemabrahao suggests, and have the issues logged.

@AndrewMoore it could be that the upgrade hasn't completed successfully, try rebooting one of the APs that keeps going offline and if that doesn't work downgrade the network to an earlier version and check your firewall rules are allowing all the relevant ports.

thats the first thing i tried. i rebooted all of the APs having this issue. and then i double checked the IP addresses didnt change so the firewall wouldnt be the problem.

Go to Help > Firewall info. It shows you have devices failing the routine firewall tests. It also includes a csv with the list of which devices are failing. This means the devices cannot reach the required destination IPs in the Meraki Cloud.
