Does Meraki APs have mode Flexconnect and Local ?

I am trying to understand more about the meraki solution for WiFi stuff. Is it fair or right to compare meraki cloupd-ap with wlc-ap like-for-like?

It's pretty much Flexconnect all the way so with APs having trunks towards the switches. Traffic never gets hauled back to the controller (cloud). Even with L3 roaming there are direct connections between the APs. It's a different philosophy than Aironet.
