DHCP Errors MR 42 and Meraki Switches - Windows DHCP server

 Hi All,

We are running MR42 with Meraki Switches and using DHCP as a relay to a Windows Server - we are seeing a high number of these DHCP errors below - mostly the connectivity is ok but some reports of clients dropping out.  Any idea what would be causing so many of these errors and how is the best way to troubleshoot?

Thanks

Client made a request to the DHCP server, but it did not respond.vlan_id='354' request_ip='XX' request_server='unknown' details='no_dhcp_response' roam_ap='E2:CB:AC:8F:59:6B' radio='1' vap='0' channel='48' rssi='10'

What's your DHCP scope utilization and lease time? Could be filling up.

Verify your vlans on all your switchport uplinks to the wap's are correct and there are no dumb switches hiding in between dropping vlan tags. I've seen that cause issues.

We have MR44 / MR76 and we also see this notifications.

Running on fw 28.6.

@Mark_B7  are you running local internet breakout with sd wan or mpls or is the DHCP on the same LAN?

Example:

Client made a request to the DHCP server, but it did not respond.request_ip='unknown' request_server='unknown' details='no_dhcp_ack' roam_ap='FE:9E:28:FF:E1:B0' radio='0' vap='1' channel='6' rssi='32'

We are running 28.5

@TomasB Its a mix, one site hosts the primary DHPC so another remote location will access DHCP over the MPLS and we are seeing the errors from both locations.  We are considering moving DHCP to the local Meraki switches - has anyone done this?
