Cisco M44 showing as "already in use.

I have purchased a new Cisco MR44 device. It was added to another network once but was later removed from there. Now, while adding the device to a new organization, it is showing as "already in use." How can I whitelist it? I have also reset it, but it is still not working.

The device seams still to be claimed...so you need to have the previous owner to unclaim the device.

Or I guess support could also help you

sorry wrong...meraki support can not help you...see following documentation

https://documentation.meraki.com/General_Administration/Inventory_and_Devices/Cisco_Meraki_Devices_p...

So you need to contact the previous owner

Most likely it was removed from the network, but still applied in the previous organization's inventory.

It needs to be removed from the organization inventory, so you'll have to reach out to the seller of the AP.

EDIT: I see I should have refreshed the thread before replying. 😉

I am not a Cisco Meraki employee. My suggestions are based on documentation of Meraki best practices and day-to-day experience.
