APs MR56 and MR86 after upgrading to MR31.7.1, began experiencing issues with radio transmit power

A few weeks ago, I updated several AP networks including MR86, MR56, and MR models to firmware version MR 31.1.7.1. After the update, the APs began experiencing issues with radio transmit power on both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands. The transmit power dropped significantly from 23 dBm to 7 dBm, leading to serious coverage and connectivity problems for Wi-Fi devices.

We opened a case with Meraki Support, and they informed us that this appears to be a known bug affecting the MR31X firmware versions. Currently, there is no workaround available, and we were advised to downgrade to version MR30.6 as a temporary solution.

@ACE1 what country are you in?  As you can see below, in the UK these APs are doing better than 7dBm on 31.1.7.1:

We have issues with MR 31.1.7.1 firmware too. Clients do not roam easily and are stuck with the AP, and despite being in the same spot, they keep getting jumped from one AP to another. There is a stability issue with the current firmware. We are using only 5 GHz with a transmit power of 10-18 with auto channels on MR56. Planning to roll back on MR 31.1.6.
