AP firmware 32.1.5

Has anyone deployed 32.1.5 and come across any issues. Searching the message boards doesn't show much. But I did see 32.1.6 is now the Stable Candidate release due to an issue with AP's negotiating 100Mbs rather than 1000Mbs.

We will look to upgrade to 32.1.6 just wanted to see if there are any other gotchas I should be aware of. Thanks

Kind of a big deal

Meraki  32.1.5 is currently a Stable Release Candidate (as of mid-December 2025) that focuses primarily on stability and performance for Wi-Fi 6, 6e, and Wi-Fi 7 models.

Will check if anyone in my circle has any issues on 32.1.6

Comes here often

We are about to upgrade 5500+ APs (mixture of MR46 and CW9164s) from 31.1.7 to 32.1.6. Upgrade primarily due to random APs dropping their uplink speed to 100Mbps. We will see how it goes - hopefully the upgrade will be "invisible"......

New here

We recently upgraded to 32.1.6 for most of our locations a couple of weeks ago. We have MR46 models. We have a lot of Android tablets in our environment, and it seems that version causes a ton of disconnects/reconnects for those devices. In the timeline I also saw disassociations, connections, DNS and DHCP and authentication almost every minute. On the tablet, it would disconnect from Wi-Fi and reconnect over and over again.

The client graph showed a lot of disconnects as well. I had only one location report an issue with Wi-Fi dropping and reconnecting on the Android tablets which led me to look into this. We have 68 locations and HQ. We rolled back to 31.1.8 and the graph is stable again. They've always had good signal strength, and I don't see anything interfering with the Wi-Fi.

We can't downgrade most of our other ones without getting TAC involved, so we're going to update another location that I talked to and confirmed they are experiencing the same issues to 32.2.2 to see if it helps before going the mass downgrade route. I'm also double-checking Android as well. The devices recently upgraded to Android 16 and they're all the same model tablet. My phone on Android 16 also had some of the same events on the timeline and graph as well. Android and MR upgrades happened pretty close to each other. The graph also seems to change when I refresh it, so I'm using the timeline to help troubleshoot further.

Update: The downgrade actually didn't help, devices started disassociating again about 20 minutes afterwards. The upgrade to 32.2.2 did not help either. On that one, the devices are reconnecting every 3 to 10 minutes.
