Trying to replace vlan 1 with different vlan without changing the subnet.

Trying to replace vlan 1 with different vlan without changing the subnet.

I have many Meraki switches and almost all of them are using vlan 1.  So, needless to say, I am needing to change vlan 1 to another vlan.  The catch is that I want to change the vlan and keep the subnet that was assigned to vlan 1.  I am needing the process of accomplishing this task.

I would appreciate any assistance with this.

You can create a test VLAN and change it, but I'm pretty sure you can change it without any problems.

I am not a Cisco Meraki employee. My suggestions are based on documentation of Meraki best practices and day-to-day experience.

Please, if this post was useful, leave your kudos and mark it as solved.

Are the switches operating as layer 2 switches only, or are they operating in layer 3 mode (and also doing routing)?

More specifically, what does the routing for the current VLAN1?
