Switch stuck on static ip

Currently we have a switch which has a static lan ip in a 10.61.129.x subnet (vlan 100). All our other switches are in a 10.61.200.x subnet (mgmt vlan 200) and are set to DHCP for their management ips.

The switch that has an ip of 10.61.129.x won't seem to let itself be set to dhcp.  I've even plugged into the local status page via the mgmt port and set it to be dhcp vlan 200.

This switch is our main switch for one part of the office, and has about 20 other switches connected to it, all of which are on vlan 200.

This switch and all other switches are able to reach the dhcp server.

Troubleshooting done:
- packet capture- showed 0 dhcp requests coming from switch for vlan 200
- reboot switch

Any ideas?

You can always go for a factory reset of the switch and start over with the configuration of the switch.....but not sure if you can do it easily in your environment.

hope this helps

This normally occurs if the switch doesn't have access to the DHCP server.  Otherwise, is the switch an interface for that VLAN?

The switch can reach the dhcp server via ping tests when sourcing from a stack interface ip in that vlan.

What do you mean when you say is the switch an interface for that vlan? It's not the gateway if you're asking that.
