Meraki Ms - Warm Spare

Hello Experts,

How do we find the virtual mac-address of the warm spare?

How do we find the spare device IP address? or which address the spare device selects from L3 VLAN.

example :

Warm device has 10.10.10.1/24 then the next IP will be picked by spare 10.10.10.2/24 or any random IP will be picked?

there will be the same Virtual mac for all VLANs or each VLAN will have a separate VMAC.

Regards,

Pavan

I am not a Cisco Meraki employee. My suggestions are based on documentation of Meraki best practices and day-to-day experience.

Please, if this post was useful, leave your kudos and mark it as solved.

This document says it starts with 88:15 but I want to find the VMAC of my switch.

will there be the same Virtual Mac for all VLANs or will each VLAN have a separate VMAC?
