MS150-48MP running MS18.1.1 loosing SFP+ and Stacking ports

We believe that we are seeing an error with MS150-48MP (m-gig) switches and the new beta firmware MS18.1.1 .  We are seeing that the SPF+ ports, along with one or both of the stacking ports will show that the transceivers have been removed, and then re-inserted throughout the day.  This is bringing down the links on the SFP+ ports when this happens.

One interesting thing is we see the stack message on the MP switch, but when the other member is a MS150-48FP switch that switch does not have any event showing the stacking cable was lost.

We see this behavior in stacks containing only MS150-48MP switches; as well as in Stacks containing a mixture of MS150-48MP and MS150-48FP switches.  Before we ordered these switches; our Meraki team confirmed that the MP and FP switches could be stacked together and I can find no documentation to the contrary.

Is anyone else running the MS18.1.1 code on MS150-48MP switches?

I have a case open with Meraki support and they have sent it to engineering, but no word back yet.

Thanks for sharing, I'm hoping that you aren't running Beta firmware in a production environment as bugs are to be expected in Beta firmware.

Unfortunately, we are.  This was after Meraki support recommended that we go to 18.1.1 to fix other issues we were having with these switches and stacking.  We had two different instances of stacks going completely unresponsive using the 17.2.1 firmware, and support said we needed 18.1.1 to get the stacking fixed.  Apparently there are still issues with the MS150's.

Maybe Meraki and Cisco shouldnt release these switches and push them to be sold if they dont have stable firmware for them?

I would speak to your account manager and seek a replacement model, using beta firmware should not be a suggestion for in production networks.
