Login failed on Local Status Page

Dear community,

I am having trouble with a stack of two cloud managed C9300L-24P-4X

Support advised to open the LSP and provide data.

However, after connecting to the LSP the Switch asks for the credentials.

Entering the serial number as UID, Password blank: fails.

Entering "admin" as UID and serial number: fails.

Everything fails.

Same behaviour on a different switch (not affected by issues).

I installed the Switches by myself, so I know, that I did not changed anything regarding the default password.

However, I verified the settings under Network-Wide > General > Device configuration

No entry.

Can someone help me? Google did not help.

Has there been anything changed regarding the LSP credentials?

Thanks in advance

Kind of a big deal

The Password: Switch Serial Number is case-sensitive, with dashes.

Try changing the password in Network > General > Device Configuration

I am not a Cisco Meraki employee. My suggestions are based on documentation of Meraki best practices and day-to-day experience.

Please, if this post was useful, leave your kudos and mark it as solved.

We also took care on case-sensitivity + the dashes. No success.

As the problematic switchstack has lost connectivity to the cloud (for what reason ever, 10 identical other devices in the same subnet are working fine), password change would´nt be pushed....

You are likely running into the issue discussed here: Local status - Unable to set password - The Meraki Community

Thank you!

Seems so.

However, due to "deficiencies in my English" or lack of Meraki know how..... What is meant with "Since the update of the Network Wide -> General -> Device Configuration -> Login Credentials, ...."

I wasn´t aware of this feature until today. What was changed/updated? (How was it before)

You have had the ability to set the local status page password for a very long time.

The new issue (bug) is that the password is not being applied correctly at the moment.  This issue is likely to be resolved quickly (and may already have been resolved).

This morning, Meraki support also mentioned, that I might run into this bug....

Better late than never.
