Quick question , when connecting a brand new C9300M switch to the dashboard for the first time can you go straight to IOS 17.18.2 or should you install CS first and then upgrade ?

Yes, you can onboard a new C9300‑M directly with IOS XE 17.18.2. Cisco’s current minimum required software for onboarding Catalyst 9300 family switches into cloud management is IOS XE 17.15.3.

I am not a Cisco Meraki employee. My suggestions are based on documentation of Meraki best practices and day-to-day experience.
