Default Power Supply for MS250-48FP, MS250-24P & MS425

Hi,

I was ordered for MS250-48FP, MS250-24P & MS425 and want to know what is watt capacity for default power supply that devices? because there are no information about it in Meraki Docs.

And what kind power cord for that power supply? is it C15 or C13 in Switch side?

Thank You in Advance!

Hi @Noffal

Again, the chassis side of the cable (MA-PWR-CORD-*) is C15. And the inlet on the MX95 chassis side is C14. Not C13. Physical talk can connect.

The C15 connector is designed to connect to the C14 and C16 inlets. IEC standard. There are C14 and C16 models on the Meraki Power supply module side, but the cable (MA-PWR-CORD-*) can be connected to both in common. Since it has been officially verified by Meraki in the first place, the MA-PWR-CORD-* will definitely connect. 3rd Party? Self-responsibility.

A C13 connector cannot be connected to a C16 inlet. Because it is designed to exceed the temperature rating of C13/C14, there is a notch in C13/C14 so that it cannot be inserted because it is dangerous.

The power cord connector (on the product side) that is validated and supported by Meraki is C15. C15 is not mentioned. Because MA-PWR-CORD-*, which Meraki has verified in-house, can be connected without any special mention. 3rd party cables can also be used, but they are not officially supported nor recommended.SoichiroOno_0-1675322577795.png

Hi,

As we know the option of meraki power cord is MA-PWR-CORD-*. Its suppose to can use by all variant devices MS/MX?

Because when I check in in here:

https://documentation.meraki.com/MX/MX_Installation_Guides/MX95%2F%2FMX105_Series_Hardware_Installat...

It seems MX using C13 on the product side.

Thank You!
