Hi all,
Looking for some advice here as we are looking to take a switch from a network and move into another network where we will stack it with another standalone switch.
I don't see any docs pertaining explicitly to this type of migration.
We have a single switch in Network A and a two-switch stack in Network B. We want to remove a switch from the stack in Network B, migrate it to Network A and create a stack with the existing switch in Network A.
Could someone please give a sanity check to this plan (feel like I might be overlooking something)
1 - remove the switch B from its current stack in Dashboard (manage members)
2 - remove switch B from Dashboard network (should clear config --> maybe a complete wipe is better?)
3 - power off switch B and disconnect physical stack stables from other switch in Network B
4 - power off switch A
5 - physically connect stack cables (switch A to switch B)
6 - power both switches back on
7 - move the switch B into the Network A network via the Dashboard
8 - apply template to switch B (since it will be a different VLAN)
9 - dashboard should recognize new stack and ask if you want to provision a new stack
10 - follow prompts to set up stack in Dashboard
