The most recent MV product launch emphasised the fact that they did not do facial recognition but did identify bodies. I don't know what happens to chimpanzees, shop mannequins or dogs.

You could combine it with FakeApp and put whatever face you wanted onto the people in your videos.

You have to remember that Meraki are late to the party when it comes to CCTV. Axis and Hikvision as well as everyone else has year of experience already under their belt. 

Features like facial recognition and license plate recognition and the likes will be rolled out slowly I would imagine.

To be clear there is a difference between recognition and detection. We will be doing detection but no one is using this feature since MV12's are not shipping yet.
