MV Cloud Archive availability and status - MV13

Does anyone know if MV13 is supported by Cloud Archive? The KB does say that "All MV models are supported.", but it doesn't list all of the models.

Also, what resolutions and frame rates are supported?

When trying to understand "Enhanced Resolution", I found a separate KB related to resolution that does list the MV13 quality options. Based on comparing both pages, I'm guessing that MV13 might have the same Cloud Archive options as MV63(X) and MV93(X).

Adding to the confusion about whether all cameras are supported, the FAQ says "You also have the option of using Cloud Archive on select cameras for continuous 24/7 recording " [emphasis mine].

And I just noticed that the MV13 is missing from the list of resolutions in the FAQ.

@K2_Josh - I've flagged this for our MV product team to review and provide some clarification. Thanks for pointing this out!

Typically cloud archive only supports HD/1080P.  When you enable it on a camera it limits the maximum resolution to this.

Using an MV13 with cloud archive is probably not worthwhile because of this.  I would use the cheaper MV12 series as a result.

Thanks for calling this to our attention @K2_Josh . We've updated the documentation pages that you linked above. MV13 does support Cloud Archive at 1080p and your choice of Standard (8 fps) or Enhanced (15 fps) quality.

Let us know if you have any further questions!

Thank you for getting that addressed.

The KB still says that "All MV models are supported."

And the FAQ says "You also have the option of using Cloud Archive on select cameras for continuous 24/7 recording " [emphasis mine].

Those two statements appear to be conflicting, or at least confusing to me. Are there some MV models that don't support Cloud Archive?

What about MV2 then? Could not get any retention at all with that one

The MV2 has no internal storage, but is fully compatible with Cloud Archive.

Thanks I know but that needs additional licensing as well to an already licensed device. I would compare it to MR licensing. Every AP works with the same enterprise license. You have the option to choose advanced license if you like to have more security with umbrella.

MV2 is quite expensive, require same license as the other MV’s. But are more or less “useless” without cloud archive. It’s a little bit annoying you cannot even go back 10 seconds in time.

just using the MV2 for lab purpose. It’s cute and all but if I would like to see stuff in realtime I would buy an Eufy cam for 25 dollars that display video in realtime instead of up to one minute delay.

I love the whole Meraki platform and products and that is probably the most and only negative thing I would express.

I have never used cloud archive or seen it as it seems you cannot get a trial for it. I have not succeeded with that anyways.

thanks
