Camera Status Icons

I would like to get a better understanding of the camera status options/icons, and see if there is a status when a camera has power, but no connection to Meraki Dashboard.

Online/green = all good, recording/connected to Meraki

Offline/red = no power, no recording, no connection

Alerting/yellow = I'm not sure when this is triggered

Dormant/grey = I'm not sure when this is triggered

I'm also looking for a status when a camera is recording (has power), but does not have a data connection (no Dashboard access). Is this addressed by one of the above status?

If there's no data connection, the cloud dashboard has no way of knowing that the camera has power. So unfortunately no, none of the statusses will be able to tell you that.

It'll probably go orange when there's a limited cloud connection like documented here:

Thank you for the reply. This makes perfect sense since there wouldn't be a data connection. "If there's no data connection, the cloud dashboard has no way of knowing that the camera has power."

Maybe having shapes / icons could be an improvement?
