Amazon AWS MQTT

Someone has just bought to my attention that Amazon AWS now offers a managed MQTT service.

https://docs.aws.amazon.com/iot/latest/developerguide/mqtt.html

Has anyone used this with Meraki cameras?

Hi, @PhilipDAth !

I've been trying to use the AWS IoT MQTT service, but it requires custom authentication that is not supported by Meraki cameras at the moment. The current implementation of MQTT on Meraki cameras has pretty limited customization capabilities for authentication, so it is still not possible to use the AWS MQTT service.

It would be fantastic if Meraki had more flexibility on the MQTT authentication. We've been using AWS Greengrass for a while to manage our edge devices and it works really nice!

Best regards!

This is the closest I've come so far in terms of getting Meraki MQTT events into AWS IoT:
