MT10 Use Case

MT10 Use Case

Hey all.

Thought I'd share a pretty neat use case for the Meraki MT10 that we've deployed recently.

We have most of our network infrastructure inside a small data room that is being cooled by a heat pump. On a couple of occasions, the heat pump has failed and we've come into the office with what can only be described as a symphony of screaming fans.

We have since deployed an MT10 in the room and set an alert that notifies us when the temperature exceeds the baseline temp for more than 30 minutes.

Now that's proactive monitoring in contrast to reactive 😄

Before anyone asks, yes we have had the heat pump serviced 😉

I'm using an MT14 in a grow tent for crypto mining.  I've split it into a hot and cold isle.  It has to cope with up to 31A of heat generation (7.4 kW of heat).
