Windows VPN before Login on domain

I have created an all user L2TP VPN which I can connect at the logon screen by clicking the network login at the bottom 

The issue is when it connects it uses the vpn credentials to try and log into the user computer.

I have tried the "UseRasCredentials=0" in the rasphone.pbk

I need it to just connect so I can then login with the users windows credentials

I know this is possible with the anyconnect VPN software but would like to find a way with the windows one.

I don't believe you'll get this to work.

Any reason you can't make the VPN username the same as the users Windows username?

I belive I have tried this and it didnt work

I will give it a try but im pretty sure the password hash wont match and fail

You prob could use radius server as the authentication but I have to redo a lot of peoples VPN connections if I switch

There must be a way
