VRRP transition but same priority

Hello,

Noticed Meraki events and alerts sent for backup MX250 becoming primary and then toggling back to backup within 10 seconds. No loss of connectivity noticed on primary MX250.Also, the priority of backup MX250 never changed and no VRRP transition message for Primary MX250 was shown. It remained on 235.See attachment.

Have you opened a support case?

I am not a Cisco Meraki employee. My suggestions are based on documentation of Meraki best practices and day-to-day experience.

Please, if this post was useful, leave your kudos and mark it as solved.

Was it doing a firmware upgrade?

Was the switch(es) they were plugged into doing a firmware upgrade?

Perhaps there was a process crash on the MX250.  Running current stable or better?

No firmware upgrade on the Mx or the switches connected. Current version MX16.16. Have not noticed it ever since it occurred last.

I would say better to open a TAC case
